Mango Crafts was established in 2004 with the aim of bringing
high quality Thai made handicrafts and furniture to the Irish
Market. The company was built on the ethos of offering value for
money, and sourcing high quality goods on fair trade
principles.
The
labour
practices and conditions that we and our suppliers adopt are of
utmost importance to us, and therefore we exceed every single
safety, labour law, guideline and best practice in our own
factory, and every single factory that supplies Mango Crafts is
personally inspected by us on several occasions each year.
Mango Crafts sources products that are made from recycled,
salvaged and renewable sources.
Mango Crafts embodies the principle that business can be
socially and ethically responsible whilst still addressing their
own needs and the needs of their customers. In sourcing our
products in this fashion we are assured of the best in quality
as well as being confident that we are operating to fair trade
principles; that the suppliers business is sustainable; that all
employment practices are fair, and all working conditions exceed
all government standards.
With the popularisation of mass produced homogenised designs,
tailor made furniture has become expensive and difficult to
find. Mango Crafts is reversing this trend, by not charging a
premium for customising our furniture to your particular needs.
We also eschew mass marketed designs and produce pieces of
individuality and character.
We use recyclable paper and cardboard for packaging rather than
plastics and we reduce, re-use and recycle. |
